  "We accept the reality of the world with which we're presented"

  For such an ambitious, implausible and laughably inconceivable concept, this was actually beautifully executed.

  Jim Carrey performs very well here.

  So do the bad guys have French accents and the good guys have American accents?

  Simple and charming. Perhaps lacking in depth. Doesn't deserve the nominations.

  Don't watch this for Johnny Depp.

  This has aged worse than the previous two. Had no idea of this film's criticism in the past.

  The dialogue lacks the subtlety and grace found in the rest of the trilogy and Sofia Coppola's performance was honestly painful to get through. The previous two have a timeless quality whilst this felt like an 80's movie.

  All this being said it's not a terrible film, just a massive disappointment. The pre-production explains a lot of the shortcomings mentioned.
