  Princess Mononoke 1997

  At its core this film is a fairy tale, about man’s conquest over the earth and the hate that stems from a changing of the guard. It’s beautiful to watch, and very rarely does a film explore such themes with the level of care and grace that’s found in Princess Mononoke. This is in my view Miyazaki’s finest work.

  The Empire Strikes Back 1980

  This movie is just masterfully executed on every level. The sets, costumes, and effects are all beautiful. The plot is very simple (much like A New Hope) and allows for the characters to shine. The world is expanded upon and adds a darker and more ethereal tone to this film. I could honestly go on and on. Yoda is amazing. Vader is amazing. C-3PO is a bit annoying but that’s the point. Everything just falls into place in a way that few films do. This is a top ten film no doubt. Hell yea

  It was an enjoyable action film and reminded me a lot of resident evil, which is a compliment because resident evil is fuckin dope.

  One of my favorite screenplays to read and the film is just as good. Fast and kinetic and lead by an amazing character in Dom Cobb. An accomplishment in execution at every level.
