I often put this on for my dog to give her company for a few hours when i go out.

It also happens to be an immensely good watching experience for humans.

"Every frame is a painting" has become an overused expression, but not here. You could capture a still from almost any frame and it wouldn't feel out of place from a museum.

Throw in the humour, the tragedy, the performances, and perhaps the greatest case of 'falling upwards' I've seen on film, and you've got Barry 👑.

Can't help but feel disappointed here. There was a lot going for this one - loved the companion storyline, anti gravity acid and xray device.

Otherwise, can these types of entries decide if they are trying to make a prequel, sequel, reboot or remake? Because they are trying to do all of it simultaneously to please everyone, and it does not work.

    The Talentless Mr Ripley.

    So many things bothered me:
    - totally inconsistent characters
    - inserted shock value scenes that added nothing
    - derivative without adding anything
    - in a movie that felt 30 minutes too long, the last act simultaneously felt rushed
    - a repetitive middle act which is an extended pity party for a hateable character (that we never really come to know)

What's disappointing is that the main cast really were firing on all cylinders, and that was enough to lull me in for the ride - shame they were wasted.
