Woooow this is good. REALLY good. I have actually never seen a revenge plot that makes such excellent use of subtlety and the moments in between action sequences. I am obsessed with literally everything about Mizu, her backstory and motive is perfectly nuanced and her character design is SO GOOD. The symbolism of the onyrō is so well integrated I can’t get over it.
I watched this because I miss Arcane only to find out the second season of this doesn’t come out until 2026….Mizu please come put me out of my misery.

Henry Cavill as a disgruntled detective brother figure is simply so attractive I’m not even sorry. The plot was definitely there on this one, and it genuinely has the feel of a good old whodunnit. The fourth wall breaks weren’t as distracting this time!! Likely because Henry Cavill had more screen time but I digress.
