"Then who was flickering the lights...? NOSFERATU!" - Spongebob and Squidward

While Nosferatu's malevolence in Spongebob Squarepants was mostly limited to flickering the lights of the Krusty Krab, the Nosferatu of Robert Eggers' film is most certainly not. This particular one, as pointed out by some fellow coworkers, also has a rather gnarly mustache. I'm not much of a football fan, or even a sports fan in general. As such, I cannot tell if the obsession with this game in the movie is merely over-dramatization or actually represents a genuine and vested interest that people have in football. I suspect it may lean towards the latter. My short take on "There's Something About Mary" is that it's a rather funny romantic comedy. In fact, it's the best 90's romantic comedy that I've ever seen. Mostly because the only other movie of this genre and from this time period that I've seen and can compare it to is "The Wedding Singer", which was also amusing but (in my opinion) less so than this film. Since the Farrelly brothers directed this film, I suppose I could compare it…

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me".

An interesting choice of Biblical verse by the scriptwriters and David Lynch for Mr. John Merrick to speak and declare as his favorite, and one whose meaning (I think) underpins much of the film's intent and purpose. John, as the eponymous Elephant Man, could have spoken another verse from the previous chapter of Psalm instead: "why has Thou…
