I love this movie for so many reasons but one of the main reasons is the fact that the actor who played Scooty actually lived in a motel room with his family, after the movie he was able to move them into their first home with the money he made from filming. He was also given a 4 year scholarship from Rollins college making him the first in his family to go to school
