  I don't think Boyhood quite succeeds on the hook everybody's grabbing on to; that you will watch a kid grow into an adult before your eyes. Of course, yes, he does in fact age, but the novelty of time compression isn't the focus. Instead, simple family drama tries to create a narrative that illustrates Mason's develeopment into an adult, but Mason is held off at a distance, keeping the audience in the viewpoint of parents who are not directly privy…

  Trainwreck trainwreck trainwreck? Trainwreck.
  What is up with your shoddy greenscreen exterior? And your refusal to hire a screenwriter? And fellow audience members commenting "WELL, I SURE HOPE THERE'S NOT A SEQUEL!"
  But it gets a sliver of a point for daring to be that goddamn weird.

  I don't know if you guys have heard, but this is a really bad movie! I assumed that the internet backlash was hyperbolic like it always is, but no, this movie is absolutely pointless. I give absolutely zero shits about any GL comic arcs, so I can say this without any expectations. Really bad. Wow. Still amazed how bad.
