My first reaction when the end credits rolled was, " Wow, this is beautiful ". I wanted to cry and I wanted to smile. Payal Kapadia has made this film and has put her heart and soul into it and it shows.
Imagery was fantastic, still were so beautiful. The characters? Layered, flawed but added well to the plot of the movie & subplots.

I started the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with this film. I thoroughly enjoyed every still, every joke and above everything else: got reintroduced to the fierce feeling of love turned rebellion for one's language. It is a must-watch but in my opinion, a little bit of context to the long-standing dispute and history will be useful to understand and appreciate the film better.
