The King 2019
What a great retelling of Shakespeare’s Henriad! The acting was truly terrific, not a bad actor in the whole cast! Robert Pattinson and Timotthee were awesome, I could watch them both for hours in their roles.
I enjoyed the retelling. I thought the plot of Henry IV was a little weak but useful to show the man Henry V wants to avoid becoming as king. Hotspur and Thomas, his brother, were a wasted plot line. Wish the beginning was fleshed…

Paper Towns 2015
Pretty enjoyable film. After reading the book, I thought it cut a lot of philosophical underpinnings out of the plot. The theme of understanding others as real people and the difficulty of fitting in as an individual weren’t as fleshed out. The catharsis of Quentin’s character arch was fantastic, I thought just as good, if not better, than the book. I felt he was changed at the end. Yes, it’s cliche, yes, a little rushed. Overall a fun ride
