Generally riveting. The static shots of procedure and minutiae were engrossing and the score and ensemble really propel the narrative. But really not sure how I feel about the ending.

Strange Darling 2023
I really wanted to like this movie. Was really into the first half. It’s fairly clever, with solid performances. The structure is fun. But, ugh, what the hell is this movie trying to say? Without getting into spoilers… the film left me feeling fairly icky in its message, and the lines and moments that got the biggest reaction from the audience confirmed this.
