  Far from bad and quite inventive, but it doesn't quite have the bite or the laugh-out-loud moments of some of his other recent films (Keep an Eye Out, Deerskin, Smoking Causes Coughing). Still, I'll definitely be giving it another watch.

  Mad Max: Fury Road' is one of my favorite movies and my favorite movie-going experience, so it's fair to say I went into this film with my expectations a little too high. The biggest disappointment, apart from Chris Hemsworth's performance and odd wardrobe/makeup, was how little enjoyment I found in the races, chases, and chaos this time around. Moreover, the practical effects seen in 'Fury Road' seem to have been mostly replaced with visual effects which look decent at best.…
