  You know it's a goated movie when I wanna show it to someone else so badly that watch it again the following day.

  So much foreshadowing and symbolism in this movie. Brilliant cinematography showcasing the physical elevation difference between the Kims and the Parks. Absolutely phenomenal. Gotta buy this one on disc.

  I had huge misconceptions about this movie going into it. From what I know about the franchise (mostly from online discourse), I expected what most people call "torture porn", where characters are put through brutal and gory scenarios for viewers enjoyment. While later entries may have embraced that aspect, this first installment actually has very little of that.
