You Were Never Really Here 2017
It’s like Drive and History of Violence meet TrueAnon.

Cloverfield 2008
A gimmick, sure. But it works quite well, and its attention detail elevates it a bit beyond your normal blockbuster action film. The white horse and carriage wondering the streets, the intercuts of the day in Coney Island.
There’s a lot that does not work as well, not to mention it’s over the top “bro” vibes and damsel in distress cliché. I mostly wish it had committed to the bit, and had been shot on a true SD DVCAM or the like. It still felt a bit too professional at times.
But also, we need more under 90 minute blockbusters!!

A truly perfect film, unapologetically Lynch's masterpiece.

I admire so much of what this film sets out to be, but as someone who struggles with animation as it is, this one didn’t quite work for me.
I am a true believer in utilizing tools that lower the barrier to entry in filmmaking, so hats off to open source software. Excited to see what this software will be able to produce in 20 years time.
This film had moments of true beauty, to moments where it looked worse than The Polar Express.
Though, was that a Werckmeister Harmonies reference at the end?
