The ultimate classical Hollywood movie. Also the era's most quotable and most visually stunning (at least for a black-and-white production). Still ranks among my all-time favorites and I've seen this more times than perhaps any other movie ever. Here's looking at you kid.

Anora 2024
I drove an hour from my place to see a screening of Anora on a Saturday night...all in the name of Sean Baker. He is among my favorite contemporary filmmakers and, to the best of my knowledge, he has yet to make a bad movie. The man just don't miss. Anora won the prestigious Palme d'or at this year's Cannes film festival, so my expectations were incredibly high.
