I wasn't the biggest fan of this. Violent to the point it lost any shock value or weight pretty quickly. Everybody just felt disposable. Everyone was pretty despicable. The story felt a bit aimless with no clear compelling obstacles or challenges for Frank.
Deserved kudos for the performances, ambience, gritty look, set design, and use of color.
Christopher Walken was so effortlessly calm and cool.
Laurence Fishburne always elevates everything he's in.
Steve Buscemi looked like Kip at the end of Napoleon Dynamite. Wish he was in this more.
