The Shawshank Redemption 1994
One of the best, added to an amazing short story and added more depth than you could extrapolate. Uncommon for any movie to top a book, yet this feels like a movie with a simplified book to pair it. Morgan Freeman sends it to another level as both actor and narrator. Cracker movie

Wasn’t as good as the first one diverted too much from the book. Stilgar was perfect but the changes made to Chani’s character were unnecessary and shit. Also Paul’s altered intentions do not aid Villenueve’s intention to portray Paul as an anti-hero.
