The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 2015
i actually cant get over how crazy katniss went in the book but it's totally excluded in the movie. likeee my girl was traumatized AS FUCK!! what a missed opportunity to showcase how war can change you as a person. and omg here haymitch and katniss were father-daughtering so hard :') they just understand each other so much!!! and also him and effie 🥺 ik he has lenora dove in the books but im choosing to accept that he'll end up with effie in the movies idc idc

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 2014
as a kid i dont really like mockingjay part 1 bc the message just flew over me and nothing "exciting" was really happening. but reading sotr and mockingjay together as an adult, i cant help but be amazed by how nuanced upholding a rebellion against the totalitarian capitol is. made me reflect a lot on palestine too; the propaganda, the just war theory and how vital it is to show up

Emilia Pérez 2024
damn i kinda agree with eugenio derbez bc selena was so bad in this...like she was truly the weakest link!! zoe saldaña particularly shines in this role and so does karla sofiá gascón given the material that she had. tbh i feel like most of the characters felt so 2 dimensional. things are just happening to them and they just react accordingly to it. not to mention, none of the conflicts would happen irl especially the whole non profit organization…
