Someone Great is more of a story about adult friendships and less about romantic relationships. It doesn't dwell on the frustrations and agonies of dating as an adult, but instead, uses it to propel the story of friendship.

The movie shows the difficulty that comes with  dating and maintaining friendships as an adult, while teaching its audience how to find the silverlinings in all of it, despite being at the precipice of change.

The film is gorgeous, visually and aurally, but is lacking in all the other important elements.
