What a bizarre sequel. And yet I couldn't help but kinda love it, even if it is very messy. The pacing is so wonky that it honestly felt like watching two different movies for most of its runtime (with one clearly being more interesting than the other, you can guess which one).

It's neat to go back to this one after watching Furiosa.
A very simple, low budget debut and yet it still manages to look cool as fuck even after so many years later. A very unique experience compared to the sequels since we're not witnessing a post-apocalyptic wasteland but the brink of society's collapse, everyone trying their best to keep it together amidst all the chaos. Feels almost dystopic and isolated, in a way.
Feels a bit sparse and spread out during the second half, but thankfully it compensates with one of the most ice cold endings out there.
Not a movie to be underestimated!
