i only noticed during my second watch that the cinematography is so good. it’s grounded enough so that you relate to the characters, but it’s campy enough that it still feels like an agatha christie type murder mystery. the scene where the power goes out is so well done in this way. all of the actors did a fantastic job staying in the genre the whole time, they played it up just enough so that that the stakes were high but also light hearted. just so well done. of course there were some cheesy lines, but it’s all for the vibes of the movie.

Actually really loved this one. It’s definitely a dad history channel type movie but the script was great and the cinematography was beautiful at points. The way romance was mixed in with such a serious and gruesome subject was very well done. Colin Firth is incredible as always. And I love Mr. Darcy.
