  Aesthetically beautiful and not just because I could stare at Lèa Seydoux’s face forever. The sets, costume, hair and make up are all so painfully chic. This kind of beauty is courtesy of her extreme wealth, spliced with a backdrop of the distanced depravity of war from which she ultimately profits. She struggles from a sadness which alludes her until she faces real tragedy herself, yet her sadness remains the same as it’s always been. France may be a mirror…
