Sound of Music brought me here and I’m so glad.

Had to watch this movie that I remember so fondly as a child due to the passing of Michelle Trachtenberg. Seeing her leave at such a young age made this even more powerful because at the heart of this movie is a girl who has strong convictions about what they want and what their dreams are. Hello? Giving up Harvard to see where ice skating takes you? I love it. 

Life is fleeting and dreams and passions aren’t some fickle thing. Casey worked her butt off for everything and at least she gets to shine in her way.

The #1 most watched in the US got me and NEVER again such a waste of time and a good meal that I had in front of me.

Thoroughly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I can relate to Dave’s dynamic when interacting with the world and with Benji. I’ve had to deal with my own brother who’s the Benji of the relationship. There were so many times while watching where I felt triggered by how much I related to Dave while at the same time wishing I had the exuberance of Benji. 

Life is a real pain. We’re separated from our loved one’s by choice or by the nature of things.
