It was interesting to see this very rural and ugly side of the countryside depicted in a movie. Not quite sure were all of the characters just a bit freaky or was it part of just normal ”ahjussi” behaviour. In either case, I focused a lot on how the movie shows how women have been treated in this 1980 backend village in south korea, even though the movie focuses mostly on the men investigating the murders. I liked the complexity of emotions portrayed in various characters.
