  A very predictable plot, doesn't bring anything new to the table. Looks like the focus was on imitating the artwork and worldbuilding in the (very amazing) book (by Simon Stålenhag), the plot was just an afterthought, an accessory if you will.

  An incredibly grim movie shaped as a parody. There will be some messed up stuff with comedy-like music in the background, and like it makes you laugh, but gives you feelings of existensial dread all the same. Genius I say.
