The Deadly Affair 1967
Solidly enjoyable although the faux bossa nova soundtrack from Quincy Jones feels jarringly out of place. Maybe we can all agree that apart from her charmingly naive performance in Getz/Gilberto, that maybe Astrud Gilberto is not a very good singer??
Mason is very good as an emotional jelly who is cucked at every turn... Makes me wonder what his version of Tinker Tailor would have been.

Parasite 2019
Parasite felt like a beautifully-shot, pitch-black comedy of class until just before the credits roll. At that moment it started to sink in just how dark the film was. It's been 48 hours now and I think I'm still under its spell. We all eat each other in the end.
I really want to rewatch Kurosawa's High and Low now, and I think I'll probably revisit this review after I do.
