Lost Highway 1997
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
"Fred is a pathetic man who kills his wife, constructs an elaborate reality for himself to escape his fate, and inevitably gets drawn back into trouble again."

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone 2007
This movie expertly takes what’s essentially the material of 6 episodes of TV and remixes it with some new elements into a complete story with its own arcs, themes, and hints at the future.
Every time I watch "You Are (not) Alone" I like it more. Little changes, slight hints at the lore being different and the color pallet being brighter and less earthy (to play to the strengths of digital coloring vs. cels? perhaps pointing to a brighter outlook?);…
