  When I said I CRIED... Ugly, guttural sobs. Mon pauvre balthazar just exists, suffering under everyones cruelty, and somehow that makes him more human than the actual “humans" around him. Bresson’s precision? Devastating. The minimalism? Overwhelming. The final scene? I need a moment. No, I need a lifetime. The purity, the silent martyrdom?? Inject this straight into my soul please.

  Im stunned (I may not sleep tonight) The lighting, camera techniques, atmosphere, soundtrack, and cast were all phenomenallll I had a literal braingasm. (Sooo glad this film was found after being lost for decades) The eerie feeling throughout makes the whole experience more amazing and beautiful. I loved the concept and plot.
