A fun time. First act is just porn, second act is a scavenger hunt, and the third act is an emotional roller coaster with a very uncomfortable final scene to watch in a theater. A fun time, but I don’t understand the deeper meaning or how this won best picture.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer 2007
Outside of a couple cute moments, good action, and Johnny’s self confidence subplot this movie has nothing special to offer. It’s hard to put my finger on why this movie is mid. All the chemistry from the first movie is gone and it’s replaced with a wack plot, dated green screen effects, and a cloud Galactus villain. I will say they did make the Silver Surfer cool, too bad he was in a forgettable movie.

Great film from start to finish with incredible pacing, and for a 2h 25m movie that’s impressive. I’m sad to say that I’m more familiar with Scorsese’s newer films like Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman, etc, but this film is clearly the start to all his future works within the gangster genre. I would argue the cinematography is best here than any of his future work. Great classic.

Murder by Death 1976
This is just a classic for me. Seen it so many times, but each time I find a new detail I appreciate. Will say the ending of all them guessing the murderer wrong doesn’t hit the same. It just feels stupid and lazy. I understand that’s kind of the point, to make fun of those weird endings, but it doesn’t fix it. It just makes it more confusing with the surprise ending.
