I’ve been meaning to watch this for a while now. I have read some article and seen some videos about the circumstances they filmed this movie under. Limited crew, limited budget, during beginning of COVID.
I believe Dev did wonderful work and poured his all into it. His connection to his people and culture is seen through this film. In film world full of subtle and subdued projects, Monkey Man really shines through.

I have to say this even if nobody’s on my side…
None of them are innocent but DEFINITELY NOT ART!!! Art is a manipulative little boy who loves to play the victim. He’s literally tried to break up Tashi and Patrick up in the Stamford scenes.
