I genuinely love (almost) every wes anderson film but this one is by far my favourite. other than his standard unique directing styles, the plot and script demonstrates the (near) perfect way to tell a story. with the time jumps and character developments throughout the story were demonstrated so nicely and it was easy enough to follow. basically i love this movie.

Downsizing 2017
Ok the plot of this movie is actually really cool to think about if it was sustainable, and the comedic prompts along the plot were entertaining. however at an incredibly recognizable point in the plot, it basically becomes an existentialist film 😭 i personally am not a fan of thinking about the end of the world (especially at 5 inches in height ??) and it kinda ruined the rest of the movie for me, and left the ending unsatisfying. I do still think it’s a good movie and absolutely worth the watch as it was also aesthetically pleasing for some reason. weird ending tho .

this is like the 8th time im watching this movie, and everytime i watch it i notice something different. I love how the story is built, and how open the plot is until the whole thing is broken down.
Literally even the way it’s broken down and tiny key details that are apart of it is what makes this movie so alluring. The ending was funny but i feel like it had the opportunity to be more profound (considering everyone had a motive and opportunity) but it was funny nonetheless.
Also the casting was phenomenal and i genuinely enjoy this movie everytime i watch it.
