I wish I liked this - it's so up my alley. But I don't think there was enough character work, it was aesthetically so ugly (not just the gore but just like what pools look like in this movie makes me wanna vomit) and the goriest and horror-iest scenes aren't enough to frame the awkward drama. I wish I liked it, I love feminine body horror, but in my opinion, it has no sense of humor about itself AND it's not *as* deep as it wants you to think, so it needs to be either funny or smart to work, and it's neither!

Love. I just feel like Lynchs passing has finally put me on his wavelength where I can deeply love and feel his work rather than appreciate it intellectually.
