  The Place Beyond the Pines 2012

  One of those films that needed another round in the editing room, but due to the plot construction, it's hard to take much out. Then there's Emory Cohen's performance, which some praise as "authentic, honest, raw, and gritty." Others may use "grating" and "put-on."
