Part 1 is some of the best storytelling I can remember in a long time. Adrien Brody and Guy Pierce bring a potentially menial proposition of building a community center (don’t waste your talents on a gymnasium Lazslo) into an immigrant v oligarch banter. Part 2 falls away a bit, with Van Buren’s true self interest bursting through. The epilogue’s revelation regarding the building design make me want to see into Lazslo’s process and thinking, wishing that was more of a focal point.

Life of Pi, but no dialogue, and animated like a video game cutscene. The lemur was a cuck (but redeemed himself in the end), the dog was an doofus, and the crane was stoic. The capybara was a sweetheart, and the cat was putting all 9 lives on the line
