  It is the first serious work after his tale-like movies.

  Classic melodram but pretty good plot. He used flashbacks appropriately instead of simple plot. And some singing scenes could be shorter.

  And, of course, very good cinematography. Indoors, colours of sky and moonlight sequence.

  My Happy Family 2017

  Film about female protagonist middle-aged wife, mother and daughter Manana who lives in a house with three generations. She gets tired of this effortful life, and leaves suddenly her family. We see their family structure from her perspective, her introversion, and listen what people say about her life. She is trying to become serene by way of moving out elsewhere but does not tell the reason to her family.
  I think it's a successful movie with timely cuts, pleasant cinematography, and unerring indoor shots.

Following
