  Kinda insane how, despite the Zoe Kravitz fever everyone had in 2022, I'd never heard of this film till last year. A spiritual sister to Mann's Blackhat (gotta love them hot hackers). I've been on a Cyberpunk kick lately (mostly from the 2077 game), so I already knew I'd enjoy this, but I was NOT prepared for how much this would resonate with me. Might even be the best straight-to-streaming film ever (Marriage Story & Fincher's The Killer are big contenders…

  Well I’m a mess now holy christ!

  This is one of those rare animes that you HAVE to watch dubbed. Idek how the Japanese version sound but I can’t imagine beating the vocal fries that Rebecca’s dub VA did in this.

  Unironically might be the most distressing film of last year to me lmao. The old internet (Windows 7, MySpace, AOL) was nice to revisit but the culture was NOT it. My ass wouldn’t have survived those kids.

  Joan Chen was incredible but I do wish we got more from her character.
