Stand by Me 1986
Such a beautiful meditation on childhood and the loss of innocence that actually depicts kids as three dimensional people. I wanted to like this more, maybe I should have seen it as a kid, but I just didn’t click with some of the performances and there is nothing I fear more than white boys, which made it a little hard to relate.
