    Some of this looked pretty good, other parts looked like the cgi in spy kids and there was a sequence that felt like AI but I have no idea if it was. I liked how colorful it was but the story was kinda boring and cheesy like I felt no attachment to the characters or the plot. I can tell I was in a bad mood for this one cause that shit started to piss me off and not even aaron paul could save me

    Didnt really know what I was getting into with this one, but damn was that shit heavy, esp at the specific time in my life that it found me. It was an uncomfortable watch because amanda seyfried did such a good job conveying what it feels like to be groomed by someone with authority over you and the lasting impacts of that even years beyond the incidents, that I began to wonder if it was actually my memories and feelings…

    I gotta get into this cronenberg guy huh

    This one took me about 2x the length of the movie just to get through it cause I had to rewind every 30 seconds courtesy of the 20mg of thc I pregamed with. Still worth every 184 minutes, I felt right at home and in good hands with the oddity and body horror of this one. Def needs a rewatch so I can see it start to finish without 180 interruptions. 
    Also performances of child actors were so good back when they decided it was ok to traumatize kids for the sake of art

    My second time watching this one with Danielle at Gateway Film Center, the first time being somewhere around the beginning of March 2020, literally moments before the disaster that was spring break ‘20 to kick off the COVID lockdowns. That was the last movie going experience for me (I think) for the next 2 years. What a note to leave off on. 
    Returning to this one 5 years later, with the same person, at the same theater felt like such a…
