  The only movie ever where (speaks in Japanese) subtitles are appropriate. It certainly could have been better if the Japanese culture and their mispronunciations of English words were not the butt of every joke. It got old quickly. One of Murray’s worst performances and ScarJo’s best, unfortunately.

  I was a bit disappointed? The movie was good but I didn’t love the subject matter and I wouldn’t watch it again. I was definitely hoping for more from Aster, especially out of a 3 hour long movie. The middle section about the house with the family and the camp were a bit too long for me. I really started to feel the length during the play reenactment of his life. I knew that I wouldn’t know what was going on in this movie, but I wanted it to be better. Giant penis monster did not positively impact my opinion.

  Of course she had a crush on the shaggy haired indie band pianist. He could have been Julian Casablancas reincarnated. 

  Julie Andrews is pure elegance and knew exactly how to bulllshit her way out of a sticky situation.
