This was a really weird movie. Usually I’m good with weird movies, but a huge step down from Parasite tbh.
The first half was decent and introduced some interesting topics that I really thought were going to be explored later, but then it just became a really big mess by the end? The plot took a weird turn and what ended up being the main theme felt so disconnected from the concept of clones.
Also, the selfcest/threesome thing was so strange to me idk. A very mid movie I guess.
A basic popcorn flick that I’ll forget about in two weeks. Sam Wilson is cool but it didn’t feel as iconic as past Captain America movies. I also could not take the main villain seriously, it just felt so cartoonish. Red Hulk fight at end was good, but I think that if the marketing didn’t reveal it it would have worked a lot better
What a movie! The action was so well directed and every shot was beautiful on the IMAX screen. The world felt very real and the different relationships between characters were fun to explore. The moral ambiguity of the main cast and the decisions some of them make were fun to watch, even having read the books. Pacing wise it was excellent, but there was a lull in the middle where it lost a bit of my attention then picked up again for the climax. The black and white visuals of the Harkonnen home world were my favourite scenes of the movie
