It's a fine movie overall. Its big selling point is the way it plays with perspective. The VFX and sound editing add up to an immersive experience.
One major nitpick is the fact that much of the plot hinges on a strong reading of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis. The strong version (first posited in 1929) has been largely discredited among professional linguists after decades of failed attempts at finding supporting evidence.
