  I found this to be a nice finish to my watching of all the best picture noms. An aesthetically interesting movie that ALSO focuses on writing, characters, and plot. I didn’t think I’d like it at all and I left feeling pretty emotional. Well made movie. Pretty underwhelming year imo. It was such a grind to get through these.

  Yeah this worked. Hadn't seen something this creative in a while. Kept waiting for the shit to really hit the fan, and the plot moved forward fine but I think the choices to make the important moments more understated made it notably more impactful.

  Maybe a little less punch than the first 400 times this time around but man Ham is still so funny. These kids really only cared about ball. I love that.
