Spectacular monster movie! It adds a human element that so many other action films are lacking. The CGI is first rate and very realistic while not being overdone. Much heavier than I expected and the dramatic elements slow the pacing at times, but the scenes with Godzilla are heart pounding.

Revisiting this film after several years. The casting is first rate and Kevin Spacey’s iconic performance as Verbal Kint is on another level. I always thought Benecio Del Toro was excellent in this as well. The writing is sharp and really sucks you in, even after many viewings.

Paul Thomas Anderson doesn’t just do a great job recreating the bygone turn of the century, he completely immerses you into it.
While BOOGIE NIGHTS remains my personal favorite PTA picture, THERE WILL BE BLOOD is without a doubt his crowning achievement. This film is absolutely brilliant in its execution. The Jonny Greenwood score. Daniel Day-Lewis may just be the greatest actor alive.
