  Had no idea what to expect for this one - I had somehow thought it was a children's fairytale,

  What a treat this was! Never thought violence and fantasy could work so beautifully together. The spanish-speaking made it all the more exotic. Faun and Pale Man are now icons of cinema in my mind.

  I wanted to dislike Amelia for how she treated Samuel, but I couldn't bring myself to. My heart broke for her grief, Sam's innocence was cute, but his behavioural issues made me understand her desperation. Didn't fully understand why the Babadook was following the family, was it drawn to her negative emotions? Was suprised by the level to which Amelia showed her emotions, always with a tear-stained face. The Australian accents were a little jarring, the Babadook's voice was genius.
  Seeing the Babadook's face in the neighbour's house was soooooooooooooo freaky.
