Wow I’m speechless…… I hadn’t watched something good in a very very long time. I loved this movie and I’d love to sit down with Sean Baker and talk about his whole process behind this. It was so well done wow. Kept me entertained the whole time. I have so many thoughts. This was just amazing, on another level. It took us so many places. It was so simple, yet not??? Wow omg!!!

This movie was trying too much….. I think they spent too long on having an experimental camera perspective, but the story didn’t stand at that same level. The characters felt flat. All of these random storylines were being thrown, but it felt pointless since nothing was brought up again….. disappointed :(( since I expected more!

It was very interesting to see Cuba through the eyes of the people who were affected the most by the promised “revolution.” It was extremely clever and effective for the director to combine documentary and fiction to show us the ugly truth of her country. It was so Cuban, so Latino, and so real!
