  Jonah Hill’s directorial debut is nothing short of brilliant. The Cinematography here is beautiful, shot entirely on 16mm with a 4:3 Aspect Ratio. The performances and chemistry between the group of kids is incredible , aiding the already strong representation of the time period, built by the set design, colours, etc.
  I have never been to LA, I also wasn’t alive in the 90s yet this film appeals to me in many many ways.
