Ok. Wow. This was actually kinda… Good?
I’ve always been open about hating the new generation SpongeBob media and the legacy continuing without Stephen Hillenburg. But I was surprised on how good this movie is. Animation looks decent, musical numbers are entertaining, story was decent. The only complaint I have is this movie gets corny and cringe at times, but it is a movie marketed towards children. So I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall, definitely a surprise of the year!
