Much more Snowpiercer and less Parasite.
Great performance from Robert Pattinson, and Mark Ruffalo made me laugh — but overall I was wholly underwhelmed and frankly a little bit bored.
Hardly an original take at this point, but like many, I found the second half of this movie unsatisfying. I was absolutely riveted by the first half, and sat through intermission eagerly awaiting to see how things would progress.
Unfortunately, it wound up just feeling disjointed and overdone — even starting to veer into the territory of trauma porn.
I still enjoyed the movie and thinks it’s worth seeing, but I’m afraid that it missed the mark a bit.
A flawless cinematic experience. No notes.
Every bit as emotionally powerful rewatching this movie and knowing what happens as it was seeing it for the first (and second, and third, and…) time.
I really think this is Nolan’s finest work, and getting to see my all-time favorite movie in glorious, unbridled 70mm IMAX was an almost religious experience.
Where do I go from here?
