While the first film is a bit more grounded and the gimmick of Buddy playing a sport isn’t fully utilized until the end, this one gets into that a lot sooner which makes it more silly. It’s still fun though, and I do appreciate its attempt to add a little depth to the story with the addition of Patrick. However, the Russian thieves subplot is dumb and is easily the weak part of the movie.
