The slick and gorgeous black/white cinematography and the overall convincing acting saves, at least to some extent, this overlong and boring film of nothingness. If you´re gonna make a film about Denmark´s worst serial killer at least make it exciting.

Merry Dog 1933
I love these, sometimes, absurdist cartoons from the 1930s definitely not just aimed at kids. At 8 minutes runtime I'm amazed how many things, like crazy things, the film makers was able to throw in; a mouse driving a fire truck accompanied to "The Night Before Christmas", the toys being alive and coming to rescue for the pups, the cat which got constantly beaten and the fact that there is not a single sympathetic streak for the wolf. He is just pure evil. Also the pup siblings are darn cute.

I Sent a Letter to My Love 1980
Despite the bizarre take on a, let says "special", brother and sister relationship where the sister knowlingly writes endearing love letters to her brother posing as another woman without his knowledge, "Chère inconnue" is both a heartfelt and in some ways tragic drama. Simone Signoret is nothing short of amazing as the emotionally restrained sister taking care of her disabled brother. An underrated masterpiece in my opinon by the Israeli director Moshe Mizrahi, who recently passed away.
