One of the most iconic pieces of Japanese cinema/pop culture and it’s easy to understand why.
Spirited Away is a coming of age story with a multitude of lessons to be learned. From no face, the two witches, stink monster, baby, etc, the symbolism in this film helps create a foundation of the living an honest yet courageous life. That growing older and entering new chapters of life/worlds will be scary but eventually you’ll find your way as long as you stay true to yourself. I wish I was able to watch this whilst growing up.
Also, animation and music are top tier for 2001.
